Accommodation is provided free of charge to REU fellows for the summer quarter in Drexel University Residence Halls. Drexel University has multiple residence halls, all located on campus in University City. Each sumer, a few residence halls remain open to accommodate summer conference programs. REU fellows will be accommodated in traditional style single rooms furnished with an extra-long twin bed, bureaus, desks and closets/wardrobes. NSF REU fellows must provide their own linens. Each room has a self-regulating air conditioning unit and all residence halls include community kitchens, game rooms, laundry rooms and vending areas. The comfortable lounges on each floor of the residence halls are perfect for informal gatherings. Indoor recreation areas provide entertainment such as table tennis, pool table and television. All residence halls are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

City of Philadelphia Resources

Cultural Passport

The City of Philadelphia is steeped in culture and history, all the while offering a thriving environment for commerce. Because Drexel is located only minutes from Center City, we are able to fully utilize Philadelphia as a classroom in which to deepen our students' understanding of the world, their environment and themselves.

Cultural Passport is a program for Drexel freshman students. However, it provides an excellent resource to explore what Philadelphia has to offer. See this link Cultural Passport.
